John Vaughan has over thirty years experience in Higher Education having been a Head of Department in two public sector universities. He was also the Academic Director of a private sector institution that obtained Taught Degree Awarding Powers and university title. He has extensive experience of programme development and delivery, at levels 3-7,  and has been instrumental in creating and managing a range of international partnerships in Europe and Asia as well as in the UK.

John brings a wealth of experience in the strategic management of private sector education having held an executive leadership position and chaired the Academic Board. He employs an entrepreneurial mindset balanced with an awareness of the need for sound governance.

Outside the academic sphere, John is involved with the charity Prison Fellowship as a volunteer and supports a range of programmes in several prisons. He is also active in his local church.
